Basic Ideas and Scope


Alright. first post! So my idea with this game is to essentially make the basic gameplay loop and combat akin to a megaman styled platformer, with the less linear level design, akin to the way dungeons are designed in most RPGs. in terms of scope, my plan is to have at least one level ready for the jam. Said level, as mentioned before, will not be entirely linear, and will contain a single boss battle. My goal is to make a short game, but be able to polish it to an acceptable level.


What I have so far is a simple prototype, featuring the badly drawn protagonist (haven't given him a name yet) with a basic projectile attack, and health, a working door system, and a basic enemy.
